Castanet: Vernon and Armstrong, fresh off massive opening week wins, meet in TOSLL action on Friday

It’s a battle of the unbeatens tonight as one of the oldest rivalries in the Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League (TOSLL) returns to the floor.
The 2-0 Vernon Tigers travel to Armstrong to face the 1-0 Shamrocks in lacrosse action.
Vernon, who finished last season winless, defeated the West Kootenay Timberwolves (a new team in the league), in back-to-backs last week in Rossland, 20-11 and 15-8.
The Tigers' offence was led by Ryan Johnson, who tallied 11 goals and five assists over the weekend, and Jorge Hall, who chipped in with nine goals and three assists. The Tigers fired a combined 144 shots in the two-game set.
