Unbeaten Vernon Tigers, Armstrong Shamrocks set for lacrosse showdown

The North Okanagan’s two senior lacrosse teams are undefeated and heading for a showdown. The Vernon Tigers and Armstrong Shamrocks won their season-opening contests in the Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League, and the longtime arch-rivals will meet Friday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sunbelt Centre in Armstrong in the Shamrocks’ home opener. The Tigers will enter the game 2-0, having swept a weekend doubleheader in Rossland against the expansion West Kootenay Timberwolves Saturday and Sunday, April 11 and 12.
